Adventure Capitalist — My Thoughts

Occasionally, when I’m bored, I browse the Google Play store, looking for something new and fun to download. This happened a few days ago when I stumbled across Adventure Capitalism. I’ve become addicted to this game. It’s not very complicated, and honestly, a lot of “playing” the game is watching the numbers go up, but it’s fun nonetheless.

Playing the Game

When you open up the game, you start with 1 lemonade stand. You push the button to get money from the lemonade stand (which takes about a second) and then you push the button again. As you continue to push the button and make more money, you’re able to purchase more businesses, upgrades, and other items that’ll help you along and increase your profits.

Once you’ve gotten enough money from the lemonade stand, you’re able to buy the newspaper delivery company. When you push the button for the newspaper delivery company you earn more money, but it takes a bit longer. In total, there are 10 business that you can buy, each one more expensive than the one before it. That expense pays off, though, because as you move down the list of companies, you earn more money, though it takes each one a bit longer to get you that money. Fortunately, as you’re playing the game, unlocking upgrades, and increasing the number of businesses you own, the time it takes to earn money for each company decreases.AdVenture Capitalist

You’re also able to invest in multiple of each company. When you first buy a company, you have one of them, but as you progress, you can buy more companies. Each time you buy another one of a certain company, you increase the amount of revenue that it brings in; and once you hit milestone numbers of each company, either the amount of money that company brings in will get a multiplier (x3+) or the speed that the company makes money will increase. When you get all of the businesses that you own to a certain number, you’ll get a speed or profit bonus to your entire operation.

Aside from other companies, you can also invest in managers. The managers make it so that you don’t have to push the button every time. Once you get the money, the timer will automatically start over and you’ll get money again. This is what allows you to leave the game alone and continue to earn money.

In addition to the businesses and managers that you’re able to invest in, there are a number of upgrades available as well. When you’ve gotten enough money you can buy things that will do things such as increasing the revenue of your businesses and lowering the costs to buy more of each business.

It’s up to you to decide what you want to spend your money on and when, to make as much money as quickly as possible.

Once you’ve been playing the game for a while, and you notice that it’s taking you a while to be able to purchase any new upgrades, you can sell everything and attract angel investors. You start over with just one lemonade stand, but you get a 2% (initially) increase in revenue per angel investor that you get. So, if you sell your stock and get 400 angel investors, when you start back up, you’ll make 800% more money than you did the first time through.

Angel investors are even available to be spent. Spending angel investors gets you additional upgrades. You can increase all of your profits more, or decrease the amount that businesses cost. You get to decide if the benefit of whichever upgrade you choose outweighs the loss in revenue. This is where, it seems, they are trying to continue to play the game. Once you get to the level that you’re making enough money to even be able to earn that many angel investors, you pretty much have made as much upgrades as possible.

Tips

I haven’t been playing for very long, but I’ve found out some great things that’ll help you along your path.

First of all, don’t be afraid to cash in for angel investors. I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it, so I took my time. I waited a few days, until I could get to $1-quadrillion, and then I decided I’d try it out. I saw that I was going to get about 1,300 angel investors so I sold my shares and started over. This happened shortly after I woke up a couple of days ago, and by that night I was already making more than double what I was before I restarted.

Initially, you get 2% per angel investor, and it makes a huge difference; so much so, that I have restarted 2 times since I did it the first time, only about 2 days ago. I said initially earlier, and I say it again now because you can increase the percentage boost that each angel investor gives you. Right now I’m at 3% with about 6,500 angel investors so I’m getting 19,500% more revenue than I was when I first started; and I’ve barely scratched the surface.

Secondly, the newspaper company can be a big help. I didn’t notice this until I restarted the first time, but increasing the number of newspaper delivery companies that you own doesn’t just increase the profits and speed of itself. Depending on the milestone, the newspaper company can, and will, increase the profits and earnings speed of your other businesses. It’s a great way to earn more revenue quickly, but the cost of buying more newspaper delivery companies goes up more quickly because of it.

Finally, be sure to keep an eye on the “unlocks” section in the menu. This is where you can find out how many more of each company you’ll need to reach the next milestone. Also, from this menu, if you go into the gallery, you’ll be able to see all of the milestones for each company and the bonus that the milestone will get you. It’s perfect for finding and setting goals.

How I Feel

As I said earlier, I’m kind of addicted to this game. I spend a lot of time just looking at the numbers going up, waiting to get enough money to get the next upgrade that I want.

I also really like how this game handles ads. You have the option of whether you want to watch an ad or not, but if you do, the total amount money you’re currently making from all of your businessAdventure Capitalist Quintillionairees doubles for 4 hours. I like this a lot because I get frustrated by intrusive ads. I’ve completely given up on playing mobile games simply because I was tired of waiting 30 seconds just to do the next thing that I wanted to do. I know that’s pitiful, that I can’t wait 30 seconds, but that’s the world we live in now, and I’m sure the same goes for a lot of you. This setup is great for us because we can choose when we want to see the ads, and it’s good for them because they still can get ad revenue. Win-win!

Conclusion

I definitely recommend this game. It’s not too time consuming, you’re not bothered by intrusive ads, and you can make so much money that I haven’t even heard of some of these numbers. I’ve barely scratched the surface with this one, and I’m a quintillionaire!

I also like how no matter how long you walk away from the game, when you come back, you’ve done better than you were before. Unlike a lot of the games out there where if you’ve not played for too long you get punished, this makes you want to play it.

I plan on playing this game for a long time. I’ve said that about a lot of games, but this is one that I’m seriously excited about progressing in. I can’t wait until I’ve unlocked everything there is to unlock and essentially an infinite amount of money is coming it. I just hope that they don’t change anything that’ll make me get bored with it, or that I get a new phone and forget to re-download it.
